Defensive tackle James Thompson returned to limited work for the 49ers, while Nick Bosa and George Kittle remained limited ahead of Thursday's season opener.

The 49ers had only one change to their injury report Wednesday: Defensive tackle James Thompson (hamstring) returned to limited work after not practicing a day earlier. This provides some depth for a team that lost defensive tackle Alfred Collins to a knee injury earlier this week.
