البريطاني كير يحطم الرقم القياسي لسباق الميل ضمن الدوري الماسي

حطم البريطاني جوش كير الرقم ‌القياسي العالمي لسباق الميل، وذلك خلال مشاركته اليوم في لقاء لندن ضمن الدوري الماسي لألعاب القوى.

وسجل العداء ‌البالغ من العمر 28 عاما زمنا قدره 3:42.66 دقيقة، محطما الرقم القياسي السابق البالغ 3:43.13 دقيقة والذي بقي بحوزة المغربي هشام الكروج منذ تحقيقه في روما عام 1999.

وكان كير قد بنى برنامجه للموسم الحالي بهدف تحطيم الرقم التاريخي للكروج، مؤكدا قبل السباق أن حالته البدنية قادرة على تحقيق هذا الإنجاز.

ودخل صاحب الرقم القياسي البريطاني، والحائز على فضية سباق 1500 متر في دورة الألعاب الأولمبية /باريس 2024/، المنافسة بأفضل رقم شخصي بلغ 3:45.34 دقيقة، ونجح في التفوق على منافسين أقوياء من بينهم الأمريكي ياريد نوغوس، صاحب الرقم القياسي لأمريكا الشمالية والحائز على برونزية أولمبياد باريس والذي ظل ملازما لكير حتى آخر 200 متر قبل أن ينجح البريطاني في زيادة سرعته بشكل ملحوظ ويحسم السباق ويحطم الرقم القياسي.

أعلن نادي السد، اليوم، عن تعاقده مع الروماني رزافان لوشيسكو لتدريب الفريق الأول لكرة القدم لمدة موسمين، حتى عام 2028.

وأوضح النادي في بيان على موقعه الرسمي أن التعاقد مع لوشيسكو يأتي في إطار الاستراتيجية الرامية إلى مواصلة تحقيق النجاحات وتعزيز مكانة الفريق على المستويين المحلي والقاري، بما يتماشى مع طموحات النادي وجماهيره.

وأضاف أن الطاقم الفني للمدرب الروماني، سيضم ثلاثة مدربين مساعدين، ومدربين للياقة البدنية، إضافة إلى مدرب حراس مرمى ومحلل للأداء.

ويأتي تعاقد السد مع لوشيسكو ليخلف الإيطالي روبيرتو مانشيني الذي غادر منصبه في يونيو الماضي، بعدما قاد الفريق إلى التتويج بلقب الدوري القطري في الموسم الماضي.

وسبق للمدرب الروماني قيادة نادي الجيش القطري في موسم 2012 - 2013، وقاده لدور الـ16 في أول مشاركة له بدوري أبطال آسيا.

وأشرف لوشيسكو بعد ذلك على تدريب أندية بترولول بلويشتي الروماني و زانثي وباوك في اليونان، قبل توليه مهمة قيادة الهلال السعودي في الفترة من 2019 إلى 2021. forumteam.blog

Williams and her sister Venus were due to play in the first round on Saturday, but Serena announced just hours before the match that her knee had not healed enough to play.

"I'm heartbroken to have to withdraw from doubles," the 44-year-old said on Instagram.

Serena, a 23-time Grand Slam singles champion, suffered the injury during her defeat against Australia's Maya Joint in the first round of the Wimbledon singles on Tuesday.

That was her first singles match since the 2022 US Open after four years in retirement.

The sisters, who won the Wimbledon doubles six times, were scheduled to face Solana Sierra and Camila Osorio after being given a wild card entry into the event.

But no court was specified by tournament organisers in the order of play, raising the possibility that seven-time Wimbledon singles winner Serena could withdraw.

To the disappointment of her legion of fans, Serena did just that, revealing the fluid on her injured knee made it impossible to continue her sensational return to Wimbledon.

"Coming back to compete again has been a gift, and the opportunity to play alongside Venus once more meant the world to me," she said.

"I did everything I could to be ready, but unfortunately my knee just isn't ready to compete.

"The photo of the syringes shows the fluid they drained from my knee after my singles match...yikes!"

East Rutherford, United States: Spain and Argentina prepared to do battle in Sunday's World Cup final in New Jersey as organisers said they were keeping a close eye on smoke from wildfires in Canada.

Lionel Messi's Argentina are bidding to become the first team since Brazil in 1962 to win back-to-back World Cups, while Spain are trying to win a second title after their maiden victory in 2010.

Organisers said they were "monitoring closely" the smoke that has choked skies over large areas of the United States.

New Jersey, United States:Raphinha resumed training with Brazil's World Cup squad on Friday as he continues his recovery from a hamstring strain.

The Barcelona forward has not played since sustaining the injury in the first half of Brazil's 3-0 group-stage win over Haiti on June 19.

Brazil opened the first 15 minutes of Friday's training session to the media and the 29-year-old warmed up normally before taking part in ball drills.

Despite his progress, Raphinha is not expected to start in Brazil's round-of-16 clash against Norway at New York New Jersey Stadium on Sunday.

The winner of the match will play either Mexico or England in the quarterfinals on July 11.
